Gombe Youths to Benefit from Skills Training Program

By Our Correspondent
In a bid to enhance the productivity and self-reliance of youths in Gombe State, the Advocacy Center for Development, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), has launched a skills training program in collaboration with Science Village Gombe.
The program, which kicked off at Science Village Gombe, aims to equip 100 youths with essential skills in four key areas: 21st-century skills, computer literacy, English language proficiency, and Arabic language skills.
According to Comrade Ibrahim Yusuf (3000), Chairman of the Advocacy Center for Development, the initiative is designed to support the government’s efforts in training and retraining youths to be productive and self-reliant.
Elder statesman Alhaji Kabiru Tsoho, Falakin Gombe, commended the organizers for the laudable initiative and urged others to emulate them.
He also called on well-to-do individuals and organizations to provide programs that support young people in becoming self-reliant.
Participants Muhammad Haruna and Yaksi Sandrah David expressed their gratitude to the organizers and promised to be good ambassadors during and after the program.
This skills training program is a significant step towards empowering young people in Gombe State with the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive world.
By acquiring new skills, these youths will be better equipped to contribute positively to their communities and the nation at large.
