Alhaji Abdulkadir Hamma Saleh, the Dokajin Nafada, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim Ummah in Gombe State on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting and the celebration of Eid el-Fitr.

In a personally signed statement, Alhaji Abdulkadir Hamma Saleh, on behalf of his family, expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting Muslims the strength and devotion to observe the fast and engage in acts of worship throughout the holy month. He prayed for Allah’s acceptance of all prayers and supplications offered during Ramadan and for abundant rewards to the Muslim community.

He urged Muslims in Gombe State to remain steadfast in their faith, continue to pray for peace, unity, and progress, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood. He also called on members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to work diligently toward the party’s success, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts for a prosperous and united Gombe State.

Alhaji Abdulkadir Hamma Saleh extended his Sallah greetings to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, the Emir of Gombe and Chairman of the Gombe State Council of Emirs and Chiefs, acknowledging his leadership and praying for continued wisdom and good health.

He thanked PDP leaders in Gombe State for their dedication and sacrifices from the ward to the state level, appreciating party youths, elders, stakeholders, men, and women for their unwavering support. He urged party members to remain united and committed to achieving success.

He concluded his message with warm wishes for a joyous and peaceful Eid celebration for all.

Mai Kaltungo Calls for Education and Investment at 2025 Eid-el-Fitr Celebration

The Mai Kaltungo, Engineer Saleh Muhammad, who also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Gombe State Council of Emirs and Chiefs, has called on the people of Kaltungo Chiefdom to prioritize both Islamic and Western education. He further urged sons and daughters of Kaltungo Local Government Area to invest in their hometowns to foster development and improve the lives of their communities.

The call was made during the 2025 Eid-el-Fitr celebration held at the Mai Kaltungo Palace, where Engineer Saleh Muhammad emphasized the importance of education in empowering the youth and promoting growth. He encouraged indigenes of Kaltungo to contribute to the development of the area by establishing businesses and supporting local initiatives.

Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of Kaltungo Local Government Council, Dr. Iliya Sulaiman, urged the people of Kaltungo Chiefdom to live in peace and harmony with one another. He called on the Muslim Ummah to continue praying for peace in the community and the nation at large. Dr. Sulaiman prayed that Allah (SWT) would accept their Ibadah during the holy month of Ramadan.

The two-rakat Eid prayers, marking the end of Ramadan, were led by the Chief Imam of Kaltungo, Sheikh Muhammad Hamman Joda, who prayed for peace, unity, and prosperity for Kaltungo Chiefdom and Nigeria as a whole.

The celebration attracted the District Head, village heads, and thousands of residents who gathered at the Mai Kaltungo Palace. The event featured colorful cultural displays, showcasing the rich heritage and traditions of the Kaltungo people.

Chairperson of Billiri LGA Commended for Cash and Palliative Distribution During Sallah

The Chairperson of Billiri Local Government Council in Gombe State, Mrs. Egla Idris, has been widely praised for distributing ₦20,000 cash to hundreds of Muslim faithful across the 10 wards of Billiri Local Government Area. The initiative, aimed at supporting residents during the Sallah celebration, was lauded as a reflection of responsive leadership.

Beneficiaries of the cash distribution, including Alhaji Umar Saleh Sarkin Yamman Kalmai from Kalmai Ward, Hon. Abdullahi Muhammad Speaker from Tudu Kwaya Ward, and Malama Aziza Yusuf from Bare Ward, expressed their gratitude to Mrs. Idris and Gombe State Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya. They thanked Dan Majen Gombe and offered prayers for the governor’s continued success.

NSCDC Gombe State Command Deploys 900 Personnel for Eid-Fitr Sallah Celebration

In a bid to ensure a peaceful and secure Eid-Fitr Sallah celebration, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Gombe State Command has deployed 900 officers and men across the state.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday, March 27, 2025, by SC Buhari Saad, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, on behalf of the State Commandant, Commandant Gyama Gyawiya.

According to the statement, the massive deployment is part of the Command’s proactive measures to ensure the safety of worshippers and residents during the festive period. The deployment focuses on securing worship grounds, managing traffic, protecting critical national assets, and maintaining law and order before, during, and after the celebration.

The Commandant emphasized that the NSCDC officers are fully equipped and prepared to provide adequate security at all prayer grounds, strategic locations, and public venues where celebrations will take place.

Comprehensive Security Measures
The deployment plan covers the following key areas:

1. Securing Worship Grounds: Officers will be stationed at all worship places to ensure hitch-free prayers and celebrations.

2. Traffic Management: Personnel will manage the flow of traffic, ensuring smooth movement and crowd control at celebration venues.

3. Interagency Collaboration: The NSCDC will work closely with other security agencies to ensure a seamless and coordinated security operation.

4. Protecting Lives and Property: Officers will be on high alert to safeguard lives and properties throughout the state.

5. Securing Critical National Assets: The NSCDC will secure key national infrastructure, including public and private assets.

6. Maintaining Law and Order: The Command will ensure strict adherence to law and order, preventing any breach of peace.

Commandant Gyama Gyawiya reaffirmed the commitment of the NSCDC to safeguarding lives and property, urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies.

“We assure all Muslim faithful and residents of Gombe State of a peaceful and secure Eid-Fitr celebration. We will continue to collaborate with sister security agencies to ensure that the celebrations are conducted in a peaceful atmosphere,” the statement read.

The Commandant also extended his warm greetings to Muslims in Gombe State, wishing them a joyful and safe Sallah celebration.

The NSCDC urged residents to cooperate with security personnel and adhere to safety guidelines to ensure a hitch-free celebration.
