In a letter dated August 6, 2025, addressed to the Chairman of the APC in Yiri-Tula Ward, Kaltungo LGA, the respected elder statesman and former senior civil servant declared his immediate withdrawal from the ruling party.

“This decision has been weighty and difficult to make,” Amb. Tula stated. “I cherish my membership of the party, especially the bonds I had with other committed members. The good and exciting times will always remain with me.”
