Gombe Youths Endorse Hamma Saleh for 2027, Urge PDP to Prioritize Integrity and Service
By Our Correspondent
The Gombe Youths Concerns Forum, under the leadership of Muhammad Kabir Muhammad (popularly known as Al-Amin), has called on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State to endorse Alhaji Abdulkadir Hamma Saleh, Dokajin Nafada, as its candidate for the 2027 elections.
The forum urged party delegates and the PDP leader in the state, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, to consider Hamma Saleh’s track record of integrity, sacrifice, and humanitarian service when making decisions about future leadership.
Speaking at a press briefing in Gombe, the group described Hamma Saleh as a man whose commitment to the welfare of the people cuts across party lines.
“We are calling on the PDP, its leaders, and delegates across the state when time reach to rally behind Alhaji Abdulkadir Hamma Saleh in 2027. He is not just a politician, but a proven servant of the people. His generosity, patience, and service to humanity have earned him admiration from both PDP loyalists and citizens across political divides,” Muhammad Kabir Muhammad (Al-Amin) said.
A successful businessman and philanthropist, Hamma Saleh has for years contributed to the social and economic development of Gombe State. His business investments have created jobs for young people, while his numerous charitable activities—ranging from scholarship support, healthcare donations, and rural development projects—have impacted countless lives.
Community leaders and youth across the 11 local government areas of Gombe State frequently acknowledge his hands-on approach to grassroots empowerment, especially in health, education, and poverty alleviation.
“Hamma Saleh represents a new kind of leadership—one that listens, gives back, and builds communities without seeking political gain. That is the kind of person the PDP and the people of Gombe need in 2027,” Al-Amin added.
The Forum maintained that in the current political climate, Nigerians are looking for leaders with credibility, compassion, and a deep understanding of people’s struggles—qualities they believe Hamma Saleh embodies.
As the countdown to the 2027 general elections begins, political observers say the growing grassroots support for Alhaji Abdulkadir Hamma Saleh could position him as a major contender within the PDP and beyond.

Protest Storms EFCC Gate, Security Reinforced Ahead of El-Rufai Arrival
By Our Political Reporter
Tight security was mounted on Monday around the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Abuja as a crowd gathered in protest while awaiting the arrival of former governor Nasir El-Rufai, who had reportedly been invited by the anti-corruption agency.
Armed security personnel and crowd-control units were deployed to strategic points leading to the commission’s premises early in the day, restricting vehicular movement and screening individuals attempting to access the area. The heightened presence followed the emergence of demonstrators who assembled outside the complex, chanting slogans and holding placards expressing support and opposition regarding the former governor’s invitation.
Eyewitnesses reported that the protesters arrived in groups, drawing the attention of passersby and prompting authorities to enforce tighter surveillance measures. Officers maintained a perimeter around the facility while urging demonstrators to remain peaceful and avoid obstructing traffic.
Although officials did not immediately disclose the details surrounding the invitation, sources familiar with the development indicated that the move was part of routine investigative procedures. The anti-graft body has yet to issue an official statement clarifying the nature or scope of the engagement.
Efforts to manage the situation remained focused on preventing escalation, with security operatives engaging protest leaders and monitoring the gathering. No incidents of violence or arrests had been confirmed as of the time of filing this report.
Analysts note that the development underscores the continued public interest and political sensitivity surrounding high-profile investigations, particularly when they involve prominent public figures. Observers say how authorities handle transparency, communication, and crowd management will shape public perception of institutional accountability.
Further updates are expected as events unfold and official reactions emerge.
