President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Abuja today, September 4, to begin his 2025 annual leave, which will also double as a working vacation in Europe.

According to a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President will spend the next 10 working days between France and the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria.

The presidency did not provide specific details of his itinerary, but the trip is expected to combine rest with official engagements in both countries.

Tinubu’s annual leave comes at a time Nigeria continues to grapple with economic challenges, security concerns, and ongoing reforms. While abroad, he is anticipated to hold strategic consultations with partners and investors in Europe.

The President, who has been in office since May 29, 2023, has previously used his foreign trips to reinforce Nigeria’s international relations and seek opportunities to strengthen the country’s economic recovery efforts.

Tinubu is expected back in the country immediately after the completion of the 10-day working vacation.
