Gombe State Judiciary Launches e-Affidavit Portal, Discontinues Manual Processing

The Gombe State Judiciary has taken a major step toward modernization with the launch of its new e-Affidavit Portal. The announcement was made today, and the judiciary has confirmed that the new system is now live, offering users a convenient, efficient, and secure way to apply for and receive affidavits online.

The e-Affidavit Portal, which can be accessed via [https://portal.judiciary.gm.gov.ng](https://portal.judiciary.gm.gov.ng), eliminates the need for physical processing of affidavits. This marks a significant shift in how legal documents are handled in the state, as all manual affidavit processing is discontinued. The public is now required to use the new platform to apply for affidavits electronically.

According to the public notice signed by Shamsuddeen Aminu, Head of ICT for the Gombe State Judiciary, the move is aimed at improving accessibility and security. “The e-Affidavit Portal offers the convenience of applying for and receiving affidavits from anywhere, at any time. It also enhances security by incorporating advanced verification features to ensure the authenticity of all documents,” the statement read.

For those without internet access, the Gombe State Judiciary has designated several courts where individuals can apply for affidavits in person. These courts include the High Court Headquarters, High Court No. 8 (New GRA), Tudunwada High Court Complex, CMC 2 Tumfure, CMC 3 Pantami, CMC 8 BCGA, and Doma Area Court opposite Prison Yard, Gombe.

With this development, all manually issued affidavits will no longer be accepted by any public or private entity in Gombe State. The judiciary has called on stakeholders, including government agencies, financial institutions, legal practitioners, and the general public, to comply with the new directive.

The launch of the e-Affidavit Portal reflects the judiciary’s commitment to enhancing the efficiency of its services. The system’s advanced security features are expected to curb fraud and ensure that all issued affidavits are legitimate and verifiable.
