The people of Gombe State are set to gather today, Saturday, September 12, 2026, for the 2026 Mauludin Sheikh Dan Alkali, a religious gathering aimed at commemorating the birth and exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The event is scheduled to take place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the residence of Hon. Mustapha Usman Hassan in Bagadaza area of Gombe metropolis.

According to the organisers, the gathering is expected to bring together members of the community and other well-wishers to reflect on the teachings, virtues and exemplary leadership of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The organisers said the event is not only intended to promote religious devotion but also to reinforce the values of unity, mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and good leadership among members of the society.

They further emphasised the importance of unity and cooperation in fostering peace, development and social progress in Gombe State.

In a message issued on behalf of the Ambassadors of Senator Saidu Ahmed Alkali, members of the public were urged to attend the gathering and participate in the spiritual and community activities.

The message also called for prayers for the acceptance of the people’s acts of worship, the success and blessings of the gathering, as well as greater unity among the people.

The organisers prayed to Allah SWT to grant wisdom to the nation’s and state’s leaders and bless Gombe State with lasting peace, stability and sustainable development.

The event is being coordinated by the Mauludin Dan Alkali Committee, chaired by Yusuf Dahiru Mahdi Pantami.

The gathering is expected to provide an opportunity for participants to strengthen their faith, renew their commitment to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and promote peaceful coexistence and unity within the community.

Alhaji Abdulkadir Hamma Saleh Dokajin Nafada has congratulated Nigerians on the country’s 65th Independence anniversary and the people of Gombe State on the 29th anniversary of the state’s creation.

In a goodwill message conveyed through his Director of Media and Publicity under the auspices of the Hamma Saleh Foundation, the politician prayed for peace, unity, and continued progress in both Nigeria and Gombe State.

Hamma Saleh urged the people of Gombe to remain united and continue living together in harmony, stressing that only through collective efforts can the state achieve meaningful development.

He also extended his felicitations to members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe, particularly the executives across the 11 Local Government Areas and 114 wards of the state, on the twin celebrations.

Reiterating his commitment to human and community development, Hamma Saleh promised to sustain and expand the impact of his foundation, which has continued to touch lives across various sectors.

According to him, the Hamma Saleh Foundation will remain a platform for improving the quality of life for the people of Gombe State through initiatives that foster education, health, empowerment, and social welfare.

“Gombe can only continue to grow if we embrace peace, unity, and shared responsibility. My foundation will not relent in its mission to support the people in diverse areas of human endeavor,” he said.

The dual celebrations of Nigeria’s independence and Gombe’s creation, Hamma Saleh noted, should serve as a reminder of the importance of solidarity, resilience, and purposeful leadership for the prosperity of all.

Alhaji Abdulkadir Hamma Saleh, the Dokajin Nafada and Director of the Hamma Saleh Memorial Foundation, has called on the people of Gombe State to embrace peace, unity, and harmony.

He made the appeal in a press statement made available to journalists in Gombe during the 2025/1447 Maulud celebration, marking the birth of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Hamma Saleh urged Muslims and adherents of other faiths to pray for Gombe State and Nigeria, particularly in light of the current economic challenges facing the nation.

Reaffirming his commitment to community development, he pledged to continue supporting his people through the Hamma Saleh Memorial Foundation.

In the spirit of the Maulud, Hamma Saleh spent millions of naira to provide food, water, and other essential items for celebrants.

He also sponsored special programs on radio and television stations to promote the teachings of the Prophet and strengthen the spirit of togetherness.
