Gombe Works Permanent Secretary, Danladi Adamu, Turbaned as Sarkin Sudan of Malala

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, Gombe State, Alhaji Danladi Adamu, has been turbaned as the new Sarkin Sudan of Malala. The prestigious ceremony took place at the Malala District Head’s Palace under Dukku Local Government Area, attracting dignitaries, traditional leaders, and well-wishers from within and outside Gombe State.

The historic event saw a large turnout of sons and daughters of the Malala District, who came out in numbers to celebrate one of their own. Among the prominent attendees were permanent secretaries from various ministries, commissioners, traditional title holders, and community leaders.

The Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, was represented at the occasion by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.
Speaking on behalf of the governor, the SSG congratulated Alhaji Danladi Adamu on his new traditional title, describing it as well-deserved in recognition of his years of service and dedication to the state and his community.

“We are proud of your contributions to the development of Gombe State and wish you success in this new role,” Professor Njodi said.

In his acceptance remarks, Alhaji Danladi Adamu expressed deep gratitude to the people of Malala, the traditional council, and the Gombe State Government for the honor bestowed on him.

“I thank everyone who came from far and near to witness this special occasion. I remain committed to serving my people and contributing to the progress of Malala District and beyond. I also appreciate Governor Inuwa Yahaya for creating an enabling environment for public servants to thrive,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, the District Head of Malala, Alhaji Ahmad Usman Malala, said the title of Sarkin Sudan was given to someone who truly deserves it. He praised Alhaji Danladi Adamu for his selfless contributions to the development of the community and urged him to continue on that path.

“This title is in recognition of his dedicated service and leadership. Malala is proud of him,” the district head added.

The colorful ceremony featured traditional dances, cultural displays, and goodwill messages from several dignitaries who commended the new Sarkin Sudan for his humility, service, and commitment to community development.

Emir of Funakaye Confers Prestigious Traditional Title on Dr. Isiyaku Ibrahim Babayo

The Emir of Funakaye, Alhaji Yakubu Muhammad Kwairanga, has appointed Dr. Isiyaku Ibrahim Babayo, popularly known as “Teacher,” as the Makama Babban Cikin Gida of Funakaye, marking a significant recognition of his service, integrity, and contributions to the community.

The appointment letter was formally presented to Dr. Babayo by the Sarkin Fadan Funakaye during a brief but colourful ceremony held at his residence in Gombe.

In his remarks, Dr. Babayo expressed deep appreciation to the Emir for finding him worthy of the revered title. He described the honour as a call to greater responsibility and pledged to continue supporting the palace, the Funakaye Emirate, and the development of the entire community.

“I am humbled and grateful to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Funakaye, for this important traditional role. I accept it with full sense of duty, commitment, and gratitude,” he said.

The ceremony drew thousands of well-wishers, including senior government officials, commissioners, special advisers, personal assistants, associates, friends, and family members. The District Head of Shongom, His Royal Highness Mr Dahiru Alfayo Yusuf, has conferred the traditional title of Jakadan Shongom upon Mr. Osu Etemu Omowoma in recognition of his distinguished service, integrity, and contribution to the development of society.

The colourful turbaning ceremony, held at the Royal Palace in Shongom, brought together community leaders, friends, associates, and well wishers who gathered to celebrate the honour bestowed on Mr. Omowoma a respected professional and Senior Manager with the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Gombe Branch.

Speaking during the event, guests described the new Jakadan Shongom as a man of humility, hard work, and character whose professional excellence and community service have earned him the admiration of many.

The ceremony, chaired by a close friend and senior colleague, expressed the chairman’s delight and gratitude to the royal palace for the privilege of presiding over such a culturally significant event.

Mai Kaltungo Honours Dr. Barnabas Malle with Traditional Title of Shawarin Kaltungo

The Mai Kaltungo, Engineer Saleh Mohammad, has conferred the traditional title of Shawarin Kaltungo on Dr. Barnabas Malle, the Gombe State Commissioner for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Cooperatives.

The presentation of the letter of conferment took place at Dr. Malle’s office in Gombe, where a delegation from the Kaltungo Chiefdom, led by the Sa’in Kaltungo, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim, and Chika Soron Kaltungo, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim, formally presented the title on behalf of the Emir.

Speaking during the presentation, the delegation said the honour was in recognition of Dr. Malle’s commitment, humility, support, and selfless service toward the progress and development of Kaltungo Chiefdom.

They described the conferment as well-deserved and urged Dr. Malle to continue demonstrating the same spirit of dedication and community service that earned him the honour.

Speaking on behalf of the staff of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Cooperatives, as well as the family of the new Shawarin Kaltungo, the Overseeing Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Mohammed Dahiru Bajoga, and the Chairman of the Kamo Community Development Association, Malam Umar Ishiaku, expressed gratitude to the Mai Kaltungo for the recognition.
