President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had on Wednesday announced Yusuf’s nomination, a move the statement said reflects the administration’s commitment to reinforcing institutional capacity within the commission responsible for coordinating pilgrimage activities for Nigerian Muslims.
According to the statement, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that the nomination has been formally transmitted to Senate President Godswill Akpabio for confirmation in line with Section 3(2) of the NAHCON Act, 2026.
