Members of the 1994 set of Muazu Primary School, Gombe, on Monday held a memorable reunion at the school premises, bringing together former pupils, teachers, and the current school management in a show of gratitude, unity, and commitment to educational development.

The reunion attracted notable personalities, including Mr. Rosan Buba Teno, one of the teachers who taught the 1994 set during their primary school years, and Ahmed Shehu Musa, the current Headmaster of Muazu Primary School. The event was coordinated by the Old Boys Association of the 1994 set, under the leadership of its President, Sani Ahmad.

Other prominent members of the set in attendance included Samira Abdulkadir Dan Mainagge and Alhaji Lawan Yusuf, Chairman of the Gombe State Rice Millers, Processors and Marketers Association, who is also a proud alumnus of Muazu Primary School, Class of 1994.

The highlight of the reunion was a major development pledge by Alhaji Lawan Yusuf, who promised to provide solar panel-powered streetlights within the school premises. According to him, the intervention is aimed at improving security, enhancing learning conditions, and creating a safer environment for pupils and staff.

In recognition of his contributions to the unity and success of the 1994 set, as well as his commitment to the development of the school, Alhaji Lawan Yusuf was presented with an award of appreciation by members of the Old Boys Association.

Speaking at the event, Alhaji Lawan Yusuf described the reunion as an opportunity to give back to the institution that laid the foundation for their personal and professional journeys.

“Muazu Primary School played a key role in shaping who we are today. Providing solar-powered streetlights is our modest contribution to support learning and ensure the safety of pupils,” he said.

In his remarks, the President of the Old Boys Association, Sani Ahmad, explained that the reunion was organized to reconnect old classmates, appreciate former teachers, and initiate projects that would have a positive impact on the school. He commended members of the set for their unity and collective sense of responsibility.

The Headmaster, Ahmed Shehu Musa, expressed appreciation to the 1994 set for remembering their alma mater and for the promised intervention. He noted that the solar streetlights would significantly improve the school environment, especially during early morning and late evening activities.

Also speaking at the event, Mr. Rosan Buba Teno said he was proud to witness his former pupils grow into responsible leaders and professionals who continue to value education and mentorship.

The reunion ended with renewed commitments by members of the 1994 set to sustain their engagement with Muazu Primary School and continue contributing to the development of basic education in Gombe State.
